if bryce young were on the dolphins would be just as good as tua?

with those weapons and that coaching staff, i bet he would.

however, i hope carolina fails forever because their incompetence has led to the bears' resurgence (maybe).

Pretty happy with my own prediction from that thread:

In a similar vein, if you’re open to a QB, I think I see Stroud as a sure-fire quality starter in the NFL with a pretty enormous upside.

Was right there with you but admittedly I didn't think he'd be a Pro Bowler right out of the gate but I was confident that he could step in and atleast be solid, especially in the right situation.

I was way off about Bryce Young though. My only trepidation about him was his size but not sure his size is the reason why he has sucked or atleast not the biggest reason why. I felt that he had all the physical skills(not size wise but in terms of QB skills like arm strength, mobility, accuracy etc.) and mental skills(reading defenses, pocket awareness etc.) to be really good but it turns out I was wrong about that.

Have certain people calmed down.

The defense has been respectable.   20 points a game is respectable.    No real complaints there.    Hutch is one of the best in the game now and he'll start getting compared to J.J. Watt.

It's the Red Zone.    That's the issue.   They are moving the ball pretty well and stalling out.

Think about this past week.   The offense gave you a C- performance and still almost won the game.

Fix the Red Zone issues and we're fine.      But honestly, can't have Goff chucking it 50+ times again.  That's not how this team is built.

Ben Johnson needs to improve his play calling - it was atrocious on Sunday.  He's better than that.

Jared Goff needs to be better.  He seems a bit rushed.

Um,  Sam LaPorta..........can we start using him again?

Yes, they need a big-body receiver.  They will land one by the deadline -- maybe sooner.

The best team in the NFC - the 49ers lost a game.

The other teams that are supposed to be really good, the Eagles & Cowboys lost a game

When you are one of the best, you usually get the other team's best punch  -and that is what happened with Tampa Bay on Sunday.     And their coach almost cost them the game with his terrible play calling.

Everything is fine.

Red Zone has definitely been the biggest issue, currently the Lions are second in the league in total yards so the offense is moving down the field but they just aren't capitalizing enough.

I will say though that I am a little concerned about Goff and the passing game, NFL coaches/scouts are smart and can adjust to things quickly so I worry if they adjusted to how Ben Johnson likes to maximize Goff by throwing up the seams where he is at his best. It feels like that part of our game has been taken away for the most part and Goff has been relying on out patterns to the sideline which isn't his best suit nor our receivers.

What makes you certain of this? They needed an edge rusher going into the deadline last year and passed on Montez Sweat. They may be just happy with what they have here already with Patrick and Robinson for the X-Receiver spot.
