gehringer_2 Posted Tuesday at 11:26 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:26 PM well, Google tells that the estimate for undocumenteds is: CA 2.3M TX 2.1M FLA 1.6M NY 0.825 IL 0.55M So calculator says that's 3,67 for Blue states and 3.7 for Red states. Pretty much a wash. I suppose if the theory is that the losers are all big states then the winners would be disproportionally small states and maybe they run more red, but if you have to reach down to 2nd tier effects the whole effort is probably a waste of everyone's time - particularly the courts -- who have already ruled on this haven't they? This is a Chuck Edwards bill, and he introduced the same bill in 2024 also. Quote

Easy: all they have to do is specify excluding the counting of non-citizens only for certain states and count non-citizens for certain other states. They can also specify excluding non-citizens of certain countries (Americas ex-Canada; Middle East; most of Africa) while counting non-citizens from other countries (Canada, Europe, Russia/satellites, South Africa). What, you don't think they can do that? Who's going to stop them? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? When it comes to breaking the Constitution, might as well be in for a penny, in for the whole pound. chasfh Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I am wondering whether there’s something more to all these Republicans suddenly threatening to retire mid-term than just they think they’re gonna get smoked in the election. There’s money to follow somewhere here and I’m interested in finding out what that is. The proposed ban on insider trading that might well pass very easily could be part of it, since no MAGA* in their right mind would voluntarily abandon that gravy train. * This is not to say only the MAGAs in Congress engage in this, but as soon as they started hammering Pelosi on it, I knew that was telling us what one of their primary goals of getting elected was. RatkoVarda Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago clueless institutionalists are going to blow this in 2026 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It’s not the institutionalists. It’s the leftists who ran an uncommitted campaign against the only person to defeat Trump and running a Nazi in Maine. Quote

Wait until the pukes start to really "fixing" social security. Quote

Wait until the pukes start to really "fixing" social security. I have a med that costs $12,000 a month retail. The last couple of years I hit the limit ($2,000) in the first month. Unfortunately that particular plan is no longer available. Fortunately Duke Pharmacy is in the system for the new plan. Just waiting around to see what the premiums are, otherwise out of pocket costs are still the same (knock on wood) Quote
