Crazy that planning and executing a felony B&E with an intent to extortion, in the WhiteHouse, brought down a Presidency?

Are people even listening to what they are hearing anymore?

Nixon would be too woke for them today, policy wise.  They’d like his bigotry, corruption, and crime.  But he was also a serious thinker with well thought out beliefs.  That has no place in today’s Republican Party.

The other big difference with Nixon is that he was paranoid, but not sociopathic. He thought the people he was breaking the rules to go after were serious threats to the republic. He criminally misused the system but he had no interest in breaking it. His actions strained the system in a way that was easy to recover from.

Trump aide Natalie Harp’s brother calls her relationship with president ‘unhealthy’

the unclassified USSS guide to threat management that I have on my bookshelf tells me this is more dangerous to the Secret Service protectee than a person who espouses hatred.

She's easy on the eyes but has a look that says:  "I won't be ignored, Dan!"

‘You are all that matters to me’: White House aide left adoring notes for Trump in ‘private spaces’, new book reveals | The Independent

A former television presenter, Natalie Harp is a near-constant presence at Trump’s side — encouraging his Oval Office redesigns, typing up his Truth Social tirades and printing out online articles, a role that has earned her the nickname “the human printer”

As I pointed out in another thread.... we're watching season 1 of True Detective and just last night there was the line Mathew McConaughey says about keeping an eye out for "crazy *****" in regards to Alexandra Daddorio's characer.

That's her.  She'll cook a rabbit.

Unhealthy is a kind way to describe this, um, whatever it is she has for Drumpf.

I think what she has are designs on being cut in on the inheritance. Either that, or enough access to siphon off assets before they find their way to probate.

I just noticed that the “likes” you got on your post are all from we members that are boomers, and who were around during the Watergate/Nixon dramas.

Network reports are the bill has already been sent over - for what Network reports are worth anymore. Johnson could try and get a motion to adjourn, but I'd guess it would fail given the vote on the bill.

apparently despite a formal signing having been scheduled last Wed. the bill has not been transmitted, but reports are now that Johnson is sending it over on Monday and it sounds like Trump is signing it.

Step by step, bit by bit, day in day out, the worst people in this administration—and, therefore, the worst people in this country—are further consolidating their hold on the government, checks and balances be damned.

We’re not nearly afraid enough, or angry enough.

These incompetent grifters can’t even run a state fair, let alone start and end a war.

But they can skim money off the top of the budget and line their pockets with it, all right.
