And ignorance. Just repeating the biggest liar in US politics.

You are correct that we have not had open borders, anytime in any of our lives at least.  The problem with the left stating it like this, is it backs up some of your side that says we have no border issues at all.  For many years, and especially during Biden's years it was extremely porous, even if it wasn't 'open'.  To say the border issue isn't complex would be naive and I'll be the first to blame a foreign policy decades in the making in Latin/South America which exploded when Biden happened to be President.  But Biden encouraged people to seek asylum, said we could absorb 2 million people easily, and said everyone at the border 'deserves to be heard', then he became president and signed EO making it easier to seek asylum.  Millions came hoping to be 1 of that 2 million figure.  Millions more than the 2 million figure.

It's lazy to say 'open borders' in referring to how Biden managed the border, but Biden managed it so much differently than any other president has that it seemed so much against an aspect of a border they have seen before.   They may be lazy, but it seems to be a jump to call them dishonest or racist just because they have more concerns about that issue than you do.

MAGA morons sure were having fun pointing out that the National Guard shooter was allowed into the country under Biden.

They sure shut up quick when it came out that he was granted asylum under Trump.

You agreed I was correct with what I said - and then went off the rails about what some on the left believes (or your opinion of same). Most of the “left” people I know, and lots of centrist people believe the immigration issue is a mess. Despite efforts that have been made to fix it, the “right” -to use your simple labels- doesn’t want to fix it. So they can continue to stoke anger and resentment all the while getting piles of cash sent to them.
