Michigan Football 2025: Rebuilding an offense, hoping our defense remains solid

This game was a slog.  My poor kid was there cheering for Sparty.  My poor sparty wife was struggling on the couch next to me.  

I am tired of night football games that have stakes that reach beyond mere fandom and stretch into the well-being of my loved ones who are going through it with their program.   Also, Spartans...way to be classless punks.

This is ridiculous. 14-10 over midway through the 4th quarter. You can fire Sherrone come Monday. Purdue is an awful team, with far less talent than Michigan. The game shouldn't be this close.

bryce looks very much like a freshman qb.  getting worse as the season has gone on.

Yeah, this isn't the season with this group of WRs...the key is him developing.

Watching Bryce and comparing him to Chiles...you can see how a QB development can implode with lack of talent surrounding.  Michigan at least has things to lean on to get past lesser opponents.

osu has ptsd from last year's game.

michigan no longer has a defensive line full of first round nfl draft picks.  osu is going to murder michigan this year.

No, I mistyped that - I am saying OSU is going to blitz like crazy and Michigan is going to throw a bunch of screens and score a bunch of points. 

I will not believe OSU is going to even beat Michigan by 1 point until I see it with my own eyes. Day has a Michigan problem like Harbaugh had an Urban Meyer problem

ohio state is built to beat michigan this year.  michigan has an advantage by playing at home, but osu is a much much better team.  no more first round picks on michigan's defense, and the only one they might have (derrick moore) they only play 50% of the time.

plus, michigan is really injured.  they could get lucky again like last year, but i think this is osu's year.  wink is not a good dc and will get stomped.

Ohio State was (arguably) better and Michigan was (definitely) worse last year. I'm not saying Ohio State won't murder Michigan, because they should. But shoulds haven't mattered in that game of late. Ohio State should have won by 30 last year.

There's something to Day having a Michigan problem. Michigan will be a better team than last year in a very similar situation to last year. Ohio State has worlds more talent, but can they execute against Michigan? The jury is still out.

Will Michigan be better this year compared to last? Mason Graham wrecked OSU's OL last year and he isn't back. With that said, I just assume Michigan will win at this point.

Top-to-bottom Michigan is way better than last year. I mean, just having a real college QB (let alone a real Division-I FBS QB) makes them significantly better. If you zoom in on just the defensive line, or even just the defense, I would agree Michigan has taken a step back.

Unless his arm falls off between now and then, Underwood will be better than Davis Warren's 9/16 for 62 yards and 2 interceptions.

underwood has been davis warren-esque in his last two games.  he's been awful.  and against two of the worst defenses in the big ten.

he was really good against washington and has been borderline unplayable since.  he's a freshman and is having ups and downs.

if he is ON, then maybe they have a shot.  but this osu team is really really good.

Fans didn't like the idea of opening next session against Western in Germany. So the game has been moved back to Ann Arbor.
