I don't know that they'll let him jump the queue.  There are people that oversee that and they really TRY to not give preferential treatment to anyone unless there is a serious threat to the public, and I don't think there will be here.    But he can't leave the area now.   He's not going to be able to go anywhere without getting hounded.     But it's all his fault.

My understanding (and I should be really clear that I am not a lawyer and I've never been arrested, I just have weird anecdotal knowledge of Ann Arbor court systems stemming from my time working in child welfare) is that Community Corrections in Ann Arbor, next door to the jail, monitors individuals on pre-trial release. Two or three times a week, they walk over with a handful of tethers and install them on those individuals who have bonded out and are waiting on a tether to be released as a condition.

But if you post bond on a Wednesday afternoon and they already walked over on Wednesday morning, you'll likely wait until at least Friday morning.

If the jail wants him out, I could see them asking Community Corrections to make a special Friday afternoon trip for everyone, even if they normally would wait until Monday morning.

I know the law is the law and Moore has a right to be released on bond but I just see something bad happening with him being back out on the streets this weekend.  A tether does nothing to prevent him from going off the rails again.

I expect players to bolt EN MASSE in the coming weeks.      But again,  that's not what matters here.   Michigan will be in football purgatory for at least a couple of years and they deserve every bit of it.     But if Penn State can rebound from the whole Sandusky thing, then Michigan can reb..........WHY AM I CARING ABOUT THEIR STUPID TEAM??   That's right, it's hard to leave a cult. 

 

We are in the NIL era.  It’s not that easy anymore.  All of these top recruits have signed contacts and have been paid.   If they want out, they will have to return the money that’s been paid.  That’s going to go keep players with 7 figure deals like Savion Hiter wearing maize and blue.

this is an insanely ungracious position to take. if Moore kicking in her door, threatening her, and holding a knife to her throat is any indication of their relationship, then I think she deserves a little more compassion

I have no idea how credible Justin Spiro really is. He was right a few weeks back when he alluded to something dropping with regards to Sherrone Moore. But if this dude was actively messaging and hustling an Only Fans Model during the game, that is just wild. This guy needs serious mental health help and I hope he gets it. It appears he has needed metal health help for a while now.

The fact that you're so obsessed with someone that you'd do it on the job, during the middle of coaching the biggest game of the season, I think says so. The dude is sex-obsessed it would seem and has some sort of addiction there.

Kyle Wittingham is a Utah lifer, but a damn good Head Coach. He's been with the Utah program in one capacity or another since 1995 I believe. I'm sure he is stepping down to either retire or take a Mark Dantonio type of role within their Utah Athletic Department. He's 66 years old as well, which would be a factor. But if he were willing to keep coaching, and do so outside of Utah, he's a name I might consider. Age is the only real concern I'd have here.

MSU, PSU and OSU went through some similar things as UM has here.  If the model for each were applied all at once: 

MSU: Huge, crippling to the school, payday to Moore. 

PSU: Beloved institutional role model figure is dragged hard by the scandal. Not sure who that would be for Michigan as Bo has already been dragged by Anderson scandal.  Maybe Carl Grapenstein? 

OSU: Moore elected to congress.

maybe its because ive seen this **** as a lawyer, maybe its because i'm old, maybe it's because i'm just an apologist, but people making stupid mistakes and thinking with their little head and not their big head is part of the human condition.  it happens.

again, its fireable and he should be fired.  stalking is a crime and he should face the law for that.  breaking your wedding vows is a moral question (we dont really know about his personal life or his marriage) but IM'ing beautiful people is not a sign of mental illness.  bad judgment for sure.

This is nowhere neat as bad as following Harbaugh would have been. This isn't a team issue or sanctions issue or anything the new coach has to worry about at all. This was all off field and all the fallout will be away from the team.

he's stepping into one of the most talented, young offenses in college football and an organization loaded with money.

but again, that's going to be up to Warde's replacement to fix (as it's looking more and more like his days are numbered.) How much does the coach have to worry about that as long the House & NIL money management is in place. And I tend to think the money management end is probably the part Manuel was has running well, which may be why they've kept him through so many other issues.

Most of the athletic departments problems were created by the football program. If the new guy is competent and runs a tight ship, most of the issues go away.
