I don’t know how capable the new guy was of doing that, but the good ones would know what to say. One other thing—a lot of fans think all the player has to do is say “the magic word” and he’s gone, the implication being that that word is “fūck”. That’s probably only partially true—it really depends on the context. Managers and players yell “that’s fūcking horseshīt, man” at umpires practically every game and get away with that. It’s when the manager or player directs it at the umpire, as in, “you’re a fūcking horseshīt umpire”, or even, “you suck at your job”, that he gets run out of the game. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Apparently, this guy does this quite often. The 2nd catch here looks like he doesn't care about being injured. Watch out for the wall; Quote

chasfh Posted June 10 Posted June 10 That third catch is in the conversation for greatest catch on video in history. That second catch, the way he slammed into that wall with his gloved wrist: isn't that how Junior broke his wrist? Quote
Tiger337 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 This might be my favorite and he was so nonchalant about it. 1 Quote

There was a really good CF, I think for the WSox, who was always slamming into walls. The guy was always hurt. Quote

Tiger337 Posted June 11 Posted June 11 I was thinking of Pete Reiser. I was just a little bit off. Not even a White Sock. Quote
papalawrence Posted Sunday at 03:53 PM Posted Sunday at 03:53 PM Kenta Maeda is getting shelled in aaa. 5 games, 16 IP, 21 ER, 2.313 WHIP. Some of that is him making adjustments, but he is likely pitching his final professional games. Time to hang it up Quote
papalawrence Posted Sunday at 09:05 PM Posted Sunday at 09:05 PM Twins got swept by the surging Astros, and KC just got swept at home by the A's. Cleveland is down 5-0 today. Central is slumping hard Quote

He is still good, but is 32 and still has 5 years left on his contract. So, it's probably not s good idea for the Tigers. The Giants will likely try to get Duran to play first. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted Monday at 12:18 AM Posted Monday at 12:18 AM Anyone watching Giants vs Dodgers? This pitcher for the Giants is freakishly tall. Quote
KL2 Posted Monday at 12:20 AM Posted Monday at 12:20 AM Man I'm gonna laugh hard if Bregman walks. Red Sox persued him, got him for a year and blew up to team Quote

IdahoBert Posted Monday at 12:31 AM Posted Monday at 12:31 AM Are we talking about the Chapman who’s 37 years old? Quote
Klondike Posted Monday at 12:35 AM Posted Monday at 12:35 AM Devers must be toxic as hell for the Sox to get rid of him for a bucket of prospects. For those that wonder why the Tiger's didn't try to trade probably a lot better package... he's sort of a jerk and no matter what his WAR and OPS+ is they don't want that on the team. Plus, the Giants are picking up the rest of his 313 million dollar contract. 1 Quote
papalawrence Posted Monday at 12:45 AM Posted Monday at 12:45 AM Wonder if Bregman regrets not taking Detroit's deal now 1 Quote
GalagaGuy Posted Monday at 12:50 AM Posted Monday at 12:50 AM The timing of trading Devers is hilarious for Boston fans. They're having a great day after sweeping the Yankees and before they're done celebrating, Devers is gone for a sack of peanuts. 1 Quote

Thats not our M.O. anymore thankfully. Edited Monday at 01:03 AM by monkeytargets39 3 Quote
