NYLion Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 (edited) Pretty manageable schedule coming up. Not that the games will be easy by any means but they have 1 real playoff contender on the schedule in the next 12 games... @Utah, Clippers, Warriors perhaps without Butler, Blazers Wizards (twice), Thunder at home, @Pelicans, Heat and Mavs probably without AD then Pelicans and Spurs at home This will be an opportunity to make a real run at the 4 seed or at the very least strengthen their hold on a playoff spot. Deleterious Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 Remaining SoS. Milwaukee has it rough while Indiana and Detroit are the same. We do play Milwaukee the finals 2 games of the season. https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength Quote

It's crazy because if home court is up for grabs in a 4/5 matchup with the Bucks we could wind up with what amounts to 2 extra playoff games in that series. Not that I want any part of the Bucks in a first round series. Indy would be the most fun with the all the ejections and suspensions that are sure to come. These teams hate each other and I can't see Stew and Holland making it through that series without getting tossed and/or suspended at least once. Knicks could be fun based upon how we've played them so far, but you're playing 5 on 9 with the refs and Adam Silver all needing NYK to advance to the second round for ratings. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 The league announced JB won eastern conference coach of the month for February. 1 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 I really like the NBA review policy. It's quick and they give an excellent explanation. It's really well done... 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 I say this just about every game but dang, this Piston team is fun to watch. The fast pace makes it so exciting. 1 Quote
Adullin Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 How could anyone else get coach of the year? 1 1 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 Now makes 11-7 against the west so we're not just beating up on lowly East teams. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 The odd stat of the day. Beasley is only shooting 66% from the line. I would love someone to dig in and find the best/worst 3PT/FT shooting seasons of all time. Making things even more odd. 66% is a full 10 points below his career average. Quote

My only shot in the dark theory would be that JB has them all playing at a higher energy level - more running, more defending, that you see guys are getting to the line really out of breath. Maybe that's a bigger issue for a guy who's been in the league for a while and is acclimated to less pace. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 65 guys shoot >=38% from three and have enough attempts to qualify for the leaderboard. The average from the line for those 65 is 82.4%. 3 other players in that group shoot sub 70%. Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Hart, and Ochai Agbaji. All 3 shoot exactly 66.7% from the line. Sam Hauser shoots 100% from the line. But has only taken 4 free throws on 312 field goal attempts. Quote

I’d have laughed at anyone suggesting home court for a play in game. And here we are, home court for the first round is a legit possibility. 1 Quote
