buddha Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago perfect pass to the best 3 point shooter (in the regular season) on the team for a wide open 3 or he takes a contested deep 3 with hart in his face. cade made the right play and it was a perfect pass. beasley jist dropped it because beasley sucks. get on cade for the two previous possessions when he 1) refused to shoot MULTIPLE wide open looks and then 2) drove to the jole and threw up a wild layup over robinson that hit nothing. that's when they lost the game. well....that and jb blowing a lead by taking ausar out. Tigeraholic1 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I still put that loss on JB. That tech changed the end of game from trying to tie with a three or a more manageable two. Edited 18 hours ago by Tigeraholic1 Quote
Adullin Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I honestly thought Brunson pushed off to get open in the end. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Hell of a season, Pistons. One of the greatest single-season turnaround in Detroit sports history. Right up there with the 2006 Tigers. Couldn't close them out in 3 of the games in the playoffs. That's common for a young team, gotta learn that. Need a healthy Jaden Ivey and one more player next year. You've got expectations now. That's a good things. The Bad Boys and Goin' To Work Pistons went through this at the start too. I'm not bagging on Cade too much, it's part of learning. Remember, Isaiah threw the inbound pass away against the Celtics. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago JB with the dumb lineups was a big reason for the loss. Cade can't go 9-22 and 0-8 from three in a close out game. Big responsibility comes with max contracts. Quote
buddha Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago cade has a LONG way to go before he's even in the same arena as isiah thomas. isiah and those pistons teams lost a hard fought seven games against one of the best teams of all time. the pistons just lost to a knicks team with one great player and a fat three point shooting center. Great post and kudos for getting over the emotions of the loss faster than most of us, lol. But you’re dead on. This season was a smashing success and more than even the most insane homer could have hoped for. And this team is very young in their first playoff series without Stew and their second scoring option. Next year should be real fun Quote
Deleterious Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago In defense of Cade. Nobody on Detroit not named Cade would start for the Knicks. Quote

Not going to hammer Beasley or Cade a whole bunch...Beasley was hitting all night...including the buzzer beater at the half. This is literally Cade's 1st rodeo...I thought he had a good to great series. Got to get him more help. Brunson gave me some serious Bernard King in 1984 flashbacks against the Pistons at the Joe. Hate that little bastard but I sure wish we had him. Getting to the early part of the playoffs is the easy part..now comes the hard part..becoming actual contenders Quote

buddha Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago brunson with 40 and 7 assists tonight. cade with 23 on 22 shots and 0-8 from 3. got to be better than that, kid. Quote
Deleterious Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Would love to see that series with Ivey and Stew playing. 3 Quote

buddha Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago beasley was great this year. **** in the playoffs when teams play harder, but great in 82 games. but i'm not paying for past performance, i'm betting that his future performance wont be nearly as good. go out and find another cheap shooter (easier said than done, i know). but i think someone will grossly overpay beasley and i dont want it to be detroit.
