International League or Injured List?  I miss the unmistakable "DL"

06/25/26 Toledo Mud Hens placed SS John Peck on the 7-day injured list.

Briceno rehab started today. Zach Swanson, he of the high 2024 bonus is finally back from Tommy John and had a solid 1.2IP in FCL today.

Also Owen Hall with a solid 5IP 0ER and 6K, as we start to get some of these injured HS drafted pitchers back it'll be interesting to see if we can get some returns on that potential.

Super early in June, but so far .294/.409/.529 thru 5 games. K rate around 33%. These are all WAY better his stats line from April and May.

Now, I know this is WAY TOO EARLY talk... Right now there is no way you could even reasonably project Rainer making the MLB roster in 2027 (assuming there is a 2027 season), but this is more of a defensive question: Let's assume Rainer makes the 27 or 28 season roster. Where do you put him? Where do you put McGonigal?

Unlike the Tigers, Rainer's June doesn't seem to be slowing down.

April: 15 hits in 71 ABs, 36K, 10BB, .211/.305/.338
May: 19 hits in 83 ABs, 34K, 13BB, .229/.333/.373
June: 23 hits in 66 ABs, 21K, 16BB, .348/.476/.682

There's still one more game for the Whitecaps this month so he might add a few Ks, but it's great to see that he's cut out about 1/3 of his Ks vs. previous months. And obviously he's racking up a lot more hits per AB as well. I wouldn't mind seeing more walks, but honestly there's not a lot to really complain about with his June.

After his April and May I very worried that his hot 2025 was just going to be a flash in the pan.

Even the walks are up to basically 1 every 5 PA's in June - not sure it can get much better.

Rainer back to looking legit after missing most of last season.  He might see Erie at some point if he keeps this up.

And he should rise back up the rankings as well.  Not many hit the ball harder in all the minors.

Speaking of Cristian Perez he was a bonus baby back in 2023 who has seemed to start to put it together. He was quite young when they signed him but he was signed for about 1 million. He is 19 in the FCL so about the average age now but he is sporting over a 1.000 OPS. He is striking out about 1/3 of his at bats which isn't great but he is also walking about 20% of the time. A .275/.395/.637 slash line is pretty nice. I would love to see him get pushed up to Lakeland after the ASB.

This is going to sound dumb but I just hit enter or like next line on mobile and it populates. If I don't do that then I just get the link

Now that you say that I remember I actually used to know to do that.
