Deuce took him aside, had a chat with him, settled him down.

He explained to him that he'll make the big team next year.  He just needs him for a little longer and then he'll let him go.

Deuce was amused by Hope's "yes, sir" "no, sir" routine.

Wow that's 5 games in a row!

He wants MLB.  Badly.  I'll bet he's McG 2027.   Along with Hope.  This team is going to get young and fun.

Just gotta have Harris get some relievers.

Rainer is nowhere near a 2027 debut.

He strikes out to much and when he gets to AA that will only get worse.  Not holding my breath on him getting to the majors.

People said the same thing in 1976 about an 18 year old SS.

Ranier's A+ K rate is just about double what Trammell's AA K rate was. He looks promising but there are a lot of off-ramps between A+ ball and the majors.

he can get to his power and he can play defense on the left side, so he is very likely to be a ML player.

he's an All-star if it all falls right, but a platoon guy if he cannot solve the Ks

lol, I was going to add they were saying it on this board back then but thought that might be a bridge too far.

Odds are against it but you never know.
