Sports_Freak Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 (edited) Dallas in opening at Philly on TNF. Edited May 12 by Sports_Freak Quote
RandyMarsh Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) I mean they're the Cowboys so they are going to bring the viewers but I thought for sure it was gonna be the Commies or Lions getting that opening night game against the Eagles. Edited May 12 by RandyMarsh Quote
Motown Bombers Posted May 13 Posted May 13 The Lions averaged more viewers than the Cowboys last year. The Lions averaged the most viewers in the NFL. The opening game is always going to have high ratings no matter the team. Save the Lions for an average Monday night when they need ratings. 1 Quote

Yeah, I thought the Lions. I saw a talking head on TV say the NFL didn't like scheduling division games the first week. He was wrong... Quote
romad1 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 The Commanders are a good watch. Besides when they come to our house and beat us. I would root for that QB any other Sunday. Quote

It's just fine with me. Hopefully, when we are scheduled to play Phiily, they'll have some players out. Let's see some other NFC teams try to navigate thru the season with the amount of injuries the Lions had last season. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 Other games are being leaked....and surprise, surprise. Kansas City plays on Christmas Day.....again. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Minny gets back to back international games but of course both are road games giving them 2 less true road games then they otherwise would have. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 The NFL does a really good job of maintaining fan interest in the off-season. Free agency, the draft and the schedule drop keeps football in the news. Quote
buddha Posted May 14 Posted May 14 the league seems to be treating the lions like the old lions. that no one is interested or this is a flash in the pan. no international games when they have an obvious link to germany with a star player who is half german and speaks the language. no xmas games. no early release dates so far. the lions were a great story the last two years and the league has ignored them so far. The Lions were the most watched team last year. Those holiday games attract viewers regardless of the team. They’re saving the Lions for when they need viewers. Quote

I mean, the Lions just got the Fox game of the week on opening day and we already know the Lions are playing on a holiday. The Lions will have multiple Monday Night, Sunday Night, and possibly a Thursday Night. They’ll have some afternoon starts as well. Quote

That’s not the vibe I’ve gotten at all. Networks fighting over the lions. At Lambeau to start the season for game of the week. They shouldn’t get Xmas. They have thanksgiving. I agree that no Germany is a big swing and miss, but i assume they will be there next year. Quote

TP_Fan Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Love the Christmas game. Don’t love that being the game in Minnesota. Gonna be harder to get too. Quote
