Cleveland's pitchers are just cruising now. What happened to our offense?

The Latin players don't like the cold.

....Oh, sorry, forgot what year it was.

His swing has always seemed very long to me.  When he’s seeing the ball well he’s fine, but otherwise there seems to be a big hole in the swing when he’s not.  He’s pretty streaky in that way.

He actually has well below average swing length, 57th shortest out of 230 players and has the 3rd shortest on the Tigers.

I don't get how Kahnle can get away with throwing change ups all the time.  Isn't the whole point of a change up that it's supposed to fool the batter into thinking it's a fast ball?  If the batter knows it's coming, eventually they're going to tee off on one.

typically there's a decent amount of movement on a changeup as well, moreso than on a fastball.

I don’t think that run scoring was Tori’s fault for making the throw. I think Rogers tries to make the play too far in front of the plate. Although I will say it’s difficult to get a runner out at the plate from the right side of the field.

That’s true if Kahnle hangs one.

I know you can't block the plate, but can't Rodgers stay behind the plate and let the ball come to him?   Seems that would have allowed him a better chance of making the tag in time.

It might, although they run into the probability that the throw will hit the runner before it gets to the catcher.

The throw was coming from first though.  I can't imagine that being an issue.  The only real issue I see is it greatly increasing the odds of the catcher getting run into.

I’m sorry do you mean the catcher standing behind the plate where the umpire is?

Basically just behind the plate but in the left handed batters box so he isn't blocking the plate.
