Skubal, Flaherty, Mize, Olson and Montero. When does Olson return?

Olson threw a bullpen session the 28th but not all of his pitches. He will throw another one tomorrow and they want a rehab assignment before he comes back.

Meadows could be back June 2 and SGL June 3.

The Jobe situation.  It's gonna be TJ and we all know it.   Why waste two months - just get it done already and maybe he's right by 2027.

Doesn't it feel like all MLB pitchers should just go ahead and get TJ surgery after signing their first contract after their draft.   It's so common now.

And bringing up Nolan Ryan as any example is like a doctor using Joey Chestnut as a template on health.   Dude was a freak.   The other guys that threw tons of innings were not constantly in the mid to high 90's like now.     Did Mickey Lolich throw in the 90's at all?

Don't you think they need more build-up time to make SGL a starter?

What do the Cubbies want for Kenta?      (Ducking........)

Another start at AAA would probably be ideal but Jobe and Olson are both out. They could go with pitching chaos.

Too bad Matt Manning fell off the face of the earth.   He threw a combined no-hitter less than two years ago and didn't he have another reasonable bid for a no-no that season?    What the hell happened?    Had a brilliant Spring in 2024, but the team chose Olson and he has evaporated ever since.      With Jobe going down and Cobb not materializing (I doubt he ever pitches for the Tigers), the team is suddenly very thin in starter depth.   Don't know that I would trust Enns.  Jaden Hamm isn't close.  I would think that if the Tigers do make a trade that it might be for a starting pitcher down the line.  Pay attention to the sucky teams' 2nd and 3rd starters that might be in the last year of their deal.     I guess it's back to Pitching Chaos again,  just to a lesser degree.     If Manning could only get his crap together and show something.

We'll take Lance McCullers.   I would hope Tiger fans wouldn't be throwing death threats at him.     I don't think "Freedom of Speech" should cover this crap.   This is sad and scary.   It's not a joke.  The dude has a family.       Maybe some Tiger fan that bet more than they could afford would do this and this may just become the norm.   Celebrities used to brush off death threats until Rebecca Schafer got murdered at her front door.

I wasn't happy with Kenta's pitching, but I wish him nothing but the best as a person.  I don't hate him as a human.  Seemed like a good guy.   Just washed up as a pitcher.

I can't stand Tim Anderson and Chris Sale, but I would never wish death or harm to either of them.

Parlay parlay parlay!!! “PornHub is now the official porn site of the FanDuel sports network!”  It’s going to happen. It’s inevitable. It could make the pregame shows interesting though.

Well, against the WSox, I'm not too worried about. Make sure Olson's finger is better. It looks like we'll be needing these 5 guys to stay healthy for a couple of months. I did read an article that questioned if the pitch clock was causing injuries. Fatigue sets in during extended innings, which could possibly lead to injuries. Or so "they" think.

The reason why is because TJ is very tough to go thru and I doubt any pitcher wants to unless they have to.

Not just that but having TJ surgery doesn't mean you won't need it again. Some pitchers have it a couple of times.

Does anyone else see that commercial for getting a HS diploma? Have i been saying the word "graduate" wrong my whole life?

I haven’t, but I’ll be looking for it.

I haven't seen it (and wouldn't have the volume up if I did), but it has two correct pronunciations:

  • gradu-8: verb (I didn't graduate from HS.)
  • gradu-it: noun, adjective (I'm a HS graduate; I went to college and got a graduate degree.)
