I hope I’m wrong but there’s a good chance the Tigers lose this game.

It’s a road game for one thing, so right there you’re operating at a deficit.

The Tigers are also showing fewer signs of the hitting prowess that characterized them earlier in the season. It might well be that scouts from other teams are beginning to ascertain what makes this lineup tick. Cleveland sure seemed to.

And they are facing a pitcher that is really good and we are sending up our fifth starter, who has his moments as well as his issues.

Actually, they have no right to win this game, but they do have a tendency to surprise so I’m hoping that’s the tendency that prevails today.

I'm more worried about scoring any runs in this game. On paper, yes, it looks like a loss. But Montero has the ability to shut other teams offenses down, at times. And this KC team doesn't scare many people, they mostly win on pitching and defense. It's baseball...expect the unexpected.

I have been a little nervous about the Tiger coming to the south side and losing three of four, or something like that. No reason, just baseball. They may get rained out at least one night, though.

Google AI is so stupid. Apparently in 1985 the Kansas City Royals defeated the Kansas City Royals to win the World Series. The sad thing I have to admit is that the Royals have won two World Series championships in the time that my own team has won zero.

AI Overview
The Kansas City Royals have won two World Series championships in their history: 1985 and 2015.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • 1985: The Royals defeated the Kansas City Royals in a 7-game series.

  • 2015: The Royals defeated the New York Mets in a 5-game series.

Unpopular opinion; Riley Greene is over-rated.

what do people rate him? he seems like an above average player that makes the All star game every once and awhile

Riley strikes out twice as much as the average MLB hitter so the futility you feel with the strike out is doubled with him. You have twice as many chances to feel let down. But when he connects, the results are pretty good and he’s pretty decent in the outfield.

He really just needs to bat lower in the order against average or better LH starters.  Would be easier to do if Vierling wasn’t hurt

He has some power and plays pretty good defense but doesn't have a strong or accurate arm. A .270 hitter that just strikes out way, way too much. Strikeouts are only really bad with guys in scoring position, otherwise they're just another out. And I would rather have a player K and use 6 or 7 pitches than pop out on the 1st pitch, or hit a ground ball.

I'm sure there are stats showing Riley as a superstar, it's why I know my opinion is unpopular.
