RatkoVarda Posted Wednesday at 12:22 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 12:22 PM hopefully the Tigers know what they really have in Cris. i would do Hamm and Jung and more for Bednar; you get him for 1.5 years. Quote
papalawrence Posted Wednesday at 07:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:12 PM Anderson is crushing at Erie, .977 ops. Jung is struggling at Toledo. I'd hate to see them trade CRod. The White Sox will never forget trading Tatis Jr for Shields Quote
1984Echoes Posted Wednesday at 07:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:27 PM I am 99.999% certain Harris is not trading Cris Rodriguez for David Bednar. 1 Quote

chasfh Posted Thursday at 12:57 PM Posted Thursday at 12:57 PM I can’t think of any reason the Tigers would not trade Cris Rodriguez for David Bednar, but I can think of at least a couple reasons the Pirates wouldn’t trade David Bednar for Cris Rodriguez. Quote

I agree. I hope I’m underestimating Rodriguez’ potential. But I also wonder if you could package some combination of players from Anderson, Pacheco, Strong, Franyerber (yeah, I said it), to avoid trading the blue-chippers. Quote

Hinchman11 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) These trade rumors proposals always come way down in what actually gets offered versus the media projections, especially for rentals, that’s why most happen on the final day. I think 90 percent were extremely underwhelmed with the Flaherty return of the 6th and 23 ranked prospect for a really good 2/3 SP. Edited 14 hours ago by Hinchman11 Quote

Excluding Cris Rodriguez (because I think Scott Harris would do so...); I would not trade our top 5 prospects or CR... but EVERYONE else 6-30 (and lower) is tradable to me. I'm not trying to trade the whole farm system either. 2 or 3 key pickups should be enough of a pick-me-up for the team... Eugenio Suarez to cover 3B? Would he cost #6 and #23? Right now that is Hao Yu Lee and Zach Swanson. Or do we just call up Lee and give him a shot? Maybe he becomes the new (and younger) Ibanez? We can mix and match 2B-SS-3B between Torres-Keith-Baez-Sweeney-Lee. Would Aroldis Chapman cost #6 and 23? More than that? An arm and a leg? Isn't that Madden and Franyerber? (An arm and a leg... get it?) A decent reliever or two (not at Chapman's level)? Jaden Hamm (7), Owen Hall (9), Troy Melton (11), Franyerber (12), Ty Madden (13), Schiefelbaum (14) should all be in consideration. Obviously not all of them, but 1 of them for each reliever (whether that is one or two) plus other lower prospects to complete the package. Quote
