chasfh Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Despite the horrific way by which the Tigers have lost some recent ballgames, a glance through their games to date reveals that they do not have a losing record in any ten-game stretch so far this season. But, also, they’ve been as good as 8-2 in any ten-game stretch only a couple of times. So the whole season so far has been a steady diet of 5-5, 6-4, and 7-3 records in any given ten-game stretch. That’s a very good kind of consistency. Edited 9 hours ago by chasfh 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago As I recall the last time, we were a Sunday Roku game I was able to watch this on mlb.tv. Although the early start time conflicts with my usual Sunday walk into the lower foothills of the mountains outside of town. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago When I think of the Cincinnati Reds, I think of stories about Reds pitcher Joe Nuxhall, who pitched in a game when he was only 15 for the Reds. Pitch 2/3 of an inning and gave up five runs. Quote

Tenacious D Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago And Happy Fathers Day—not sure how many of us this applies, too, given that we’re a collection of internet, baseball nerds who probably have never had sex, much less helped spawn any offspring. Happy Father’s Day, anyway. 2 Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I think McClain had already released the ball to first before the toe tap. Quote

Happy Father’s Day, anyway. I had four children after the age of 40. Had my youngest at age 50 because I’m frighteningly virile. You’re welcome. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Why was Dan talking about a double play when...there's 2 outs? Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The Jones for Ibanez switch is paying dividends. Very good move by Detroit. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Dan was talking about the Tommy John surgery that SGL had. He said it was a hybrid type of surgery that allows pitchers to make it back faster. He had it in April of '24, so it does seem pretty quick. I hope Jobe has the same type and it's just as successful. Quote
lordstanley Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Top of the 4th inning is a tragedy of errors. Quote
