Sports_Freak Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Well, it started out good. Pitching and defense seems to have failed us today. Bring back Montero and our #5 SP. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted July 4 Posted July 4 The Nats bullpen is suspect. And they have a morning game tomorrow. Quote

chasfh Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Parker Meadows singles home a run! Men on first and third, one out, score is 9-6. Now Baez drives in a run on the ground out to third, so score is now 9-7, two out, still one on, and tying run still at the plate. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 The fact that we are still in this game despite how awful we’ve played is wild 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 So the brain trust really wanted to start Enns again as opposed to Montero? Quote
GalagaGuy Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Petry totally jinxed the comeback. He's talking about the Tigers needing two runs in the 9th to tie it up while the Nationals have a man on second and nobody out. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Why even use Vest here? Wouldn't you want to keep him fresh for tomorrow? Quote

Sports_Freak Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) Javy grand slam would tie it. Yeah couldn't happen... Edited July 4 by Sports_Freak Quote

Tigermojo Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Enns and Hernandez are not good. I think everyone knew that already. Need to get our guys healthy. Quote

IdahoBert Posted July 4 Posted July 4 This was a really disappointing game, which I stopped watching after a while. Quote
motownblues Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Fetter is a really good coach, but he's not miracle worker. Quote

Not that I don't want him to, I just don't see it. And a return of an expensive pitcher is also out of character for him. Of course, he's never had a Tiger team as a buyer. Maybe he'll surprise me. chasfh Posted Friday at 03:05 AM Posted Friday at 03:05 AM Just when I thought I was out on this game, they pull me back in and break my heart. Quote

Vest hadn’t pitched for three days so he needed the work. Gotta get him trigger time at some point and there’s no guarantee it’s going to be close and late tomorrow, either. Quote
