1-0 Tigers at the 7th inning stretch. Win or lose today, this has not been a good series for the offense.

I wanted them to keep Melton in the rotation, so this was good to see today.  I am not sure where they need him most at this point as both their rotation and bullpen need help.  Just make sure you get a lot of innings out of him down the stretch.

Through 7, Tigers pitchers Melton and SGL have faced 22 batters, just one over the minimum.

I don't know what the long term is going to be for SGL. He has to pitch backward because the FB is too easy to barrel up - If he can command the off-speed well enough not to be behind all the time (like today so far).....  -  but he's got a narrow lane to success.

no way to turn that DP unless McK charges that ball - which admittedly would have made it a tougher play - but one Javy and maybe even Sweeney probably makes.

lol, I am watching the game but synced to the radio, and Dan blew a call on the Quero at-bat. Exclaimed “swing and a miss” and then paused and modified to “just got a piece of it”. It was actually a foul out of play, no?

I noticed that, too. yeah, it was a foul and a pretty obvious one on TV at least. he does get on autopilot a bit sometimes.
