I watched S3 E7 of Foundation on Apple TV just last night. The Studio was really great too. So since I already have access to it, I don’t have any complaints. I’m constantly being told Slow Horses is incredible as well as Severance, but I don’t know how much more time I can spend watching a screen and not living a real life.

For some reason the Apple shows are a black hole for us, other than Severance.  Everybody I know and who's opinions I trust tell me great things about all of them, especially For All Mankind, the alternate space history where the Russians win the moon race.  

But yeah.. Severance is good.  After about 45 minutes into the first episode I almost gave up thinking it was a Kubrick knock off but then I got the point.  I would have dreams about the show.

For All Mankind WAS great, for the first couple of seasons. Then it went completely off-the-rails into soap opera land. I think I'm two seasons behind now, and don't care to catch up.

Well you can share the "good news" that Apple will be out of the baseball business next season. I actually like their broadcasts though.

I watched 15 minutes of the first episode and as a space junkie had trouble getting past certain things that, even though it was alternate history, were still slightly inaccurate.  But that's a ME problem.  Every historical based program will have those problems.

I tried to get into it, but it didn’t intrigue me enough, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend that much time in an alternate reality which would detract from my immersion in the alternate reality of the Detroit Tigers which is more immediate and real, and to which I have a long-standing connection.

Drew Sommers… Drew Sommers… is he the next Cal Raleigh only for relievers? Had not heard any buzz about him. I wish we could have one of these rookies who comes up and hits eight home runs the first week like everybody else. I hope Drew Sommers becomes a thing.

The Tigers who are 16–7 since July 27 are just barely ahead of the Royals — 15-8 — for the best record in the same timeframe. Time to cool off the Royales with Cheese.

After this series the Tigers go on the road starting with three games against the Athletics, who surprisingly are 13-7 in their past 20 and 18-12 in their past 30.

The rubber really meets the road in these next few games. To me these next couple series feel like playoff games in the sense that they are indicative of whether the most recent upsurge of the Tigers is sustainable.

I enjoyed "Your Friends and Neighbors" "Shrinking" and  and "Dark Matter". I'm watching "Smoke" now. I couldn't get into Severance, there just wasn't enough action. But there are several other shows I wanna check out.
