I remember him flipping the bird to lions fans once.

It’s nice to recall these memories as the distant past.

I remember that. I also remember a game late in 2011 against the Saints (not the playoff game) in which the Lions lost it because of personal foul penalties and Raiola was in the locker room calling players out telling them to basically grow up.

The announcer on the Bills game (Jim Nantz?) said that with the Buffalo travel ban, he was stuck in his hotel for 3 days. Said it was like The Shining. Uhhh...NO, it wasn't. Has he even SEEN The Shining? 🤣🤣

I can totally see Romo chopping down his door and sticking his through and saying here's Tony.

Watching football so much (NFL anyway), it amazes me that a defense can stop anything.  I guess it comes down to the O Line, but it just seems like if you give a QB 4 seconds, I don't know how you can stop an offense.    We complain about how bad the Lions defense has been this season, but here's the thing - they give up stats, but hold pretty steady, don't they?

Mullens (Twice), Prescott and Stafford had massive stat lines, but the Lions gave up 24, 20, 20 and 23 points.   When you have an offense like the Lions, that's enough to consistently win.   Their red zone defense seems to be fantastic and their defense, though battered and stretched, comes up with big plays.

They don't have a good defense, but do they need to be great stat-wise?

I still think it's more important to get another Edge that can get home to bookend Hutch.   They get oh so close but don't get home.   Yes, the secondary needs major upgrading, they need the upgrading more than the Line does, but I think getting that Edge guy improves the secondary and makes it easier to upgrade.   Vildor sounds like the name of a villain in a Sci Fi movie.

Offseason Priorities

1 - Edge Rusher

2 - Secondary Starter (CB specifically)

3 - Interior Line Depth

4 - Secondary rotational (another CB)

5 - Kicker  (great kick by Badge Man, but they need a boomer)

Can't wait to see Hooker in the preseason.

I agree the need for an edge rusher. In today's NFL, a secondary can't be expected to cover receivers for extended seconds. The rules are stacked against defenses because scoring is exciting. Like home runs in baseball.

And the Lions do give up a lot of yards. But holding LA to 6 2nd half points was key to winning last night. If it were Campbell, we all know he would have gone for it at least once.

Matt Patricia happened to the Eagles.

Feels like Tampa should be leading by more than 13.

I hate Patricia as much as anyone, but the defense was bad before Patricia started calling plays. That's the reason he's calling plays. Also, Patricia didn't design the defense.

Please refer to the MotownForums.com Commandments

Thou shall not defend Matt Patricia

This Eagles team can't tackle. Just looks like poor effort.

They were struggling before Patricia got there. I really don't want to see his ass ever again at Ford Field. If they lose tonight, there's a very good chance he gets fired.
