Baker Mayfield has been downright terrible for the last 5 games.  He’s the main reason the Bucs have sucked.    Tonight is more of the same with him holding the ball like a rookie for way too long and also throwing inaccurate ball after inaccurate ball.   Al & Kirk continue to gloss him up and ignore all of it.  Not one bit of criticism and any questions about the ****tiness of his game.

THANK YOU! I feel like I am taking crazy pills when people praise his guy over and over. He is so sloppy in everything he does and that shows up in close games.

Watching that press conference with Phillip Rivers, and it's clear he has put on some weight. Guy does not look like football shape. He was already in decline when he retired and now he comes back years later mid-40's out of shape? This could be a disaster.

Lions go 2-0, Bears win next week and lose to the Niners, Packers lose to the Ravens, and the Lions will be playing for the division against Chicago. In a scenario where a loss likely eliminates them.

With Parsons officially out, there is a real possibility that each of these outcomes is just the favorite winning.

Bears over Packers
Lions over Steelers
Lions over Vikings
Niners over Bears
Ravens over Packers

Would leave the North at:

Bears 11-5
Lions 10-6
Packers 9-6-1

A Lions win in Soldier Field and they'll win the North, probably be the 3-seed hosting the Seahawks or Niners at 11-6. A loss and they're probably on the outside looking in at 10-7 if the Packers beat the Vikings.

All that being said, we should probably root for hope the Packers win again on Saturday Night. A Green Bay win allows us to control our own destiny again for the 7-seed.

The Packers are going to be without Parsons for a chunk of next season and have no first round picks.

I feel just horrible about that... just horrible.

Chicago 10-4 (vs. Packers, @ 49ers, vs. Lions)
Green Bay 9-4-1 (@ Bears, vs. Ravens, @ Vikings)
Detroit 8-6 (vs. Steelers, @ Vikings, @ Bears)

I could see Detroit going 3-0 and Chicago going 0-3.

As of today, Vegas agrees.

Chicago is +1.5 against the Packers, +3 against the 49ers, and +1.5 against the Lions.
Green Bay is -1.5 against the Bears, -3 against the Ravens, and -1.5 against the Vikings.
Detroit is -7 against the Steelers, -3.5 against the Vikings, and -1.5 against the Bears.

There is a real chance that the Lions could go into the final slate of games with a chance to finish #2, #3, #6, #7, or #8.

We’ve seen what it takes for the Lions to win the division: Lions win out and the Packers and Bears lose at least 2 of 3. That’s likely the #3 seed, but is bumped up to #2 if the Eagles lose at least 2 of 3 (home and home with Commanders, @Bills).

Lions could fall short of the division but still get the 2nd wildcard, #6 seed, if they beat out not only one of Chicago/GB, but in addition Seattle or San Francisco finish 0-3.

Of course all that help from out of town would be a moot point if the Lions lose that game to Chicago to finish#8.
