Lions can still pass the Seahawks if the Lions go 3-0 and Seahawks go 0-3. Just like with the Bears-Packers game, there's good and bad with each outcome. On the one hand, the Lions can no longer beat out Seattle for a playoff spot. On the other hand, if the Lions do beat out Chicago or Green Bay for the wildcard and get seeded #7, if and when it comes down to play the #1 seed "perhaps" at Seattle is a bit less daunting than at LA Rams? There's still a way the Lions could beat out an NFC West team for a wildcard - if the Lions win out and SF loses out at Indy, vs. Chicago, vs Seattle. Of course we'll be cheering for Chicago over SF, so counting on the Niners losing out is only a desperate fallback. Quote

A playoff game at Lumen would most definitely not be. That said, they may have a slightly better chance against the Seahawks. They've exposed Sam Darnold before. To beat the Rams would be to win 52-49, which feels unlikely. Quote

lordstanley Posted Friday at 05:44 PM Posted Friday at 05:44 PM Another interesting wrinkle as far as playoff implications. If the Bears win their next 2 games, they'll have clinched the division and likely would have little to play for against the Lions (bye likely out of reach). If that happens, the Lions will need to hope that GB also lost to Baltimore or that GB would lose their final game at Minnesota. Quote
Shinzaki Posted Friday at 06:56 PM Posted Friday at 06:56 PM I could see Minnesota being highly motivated against GB to set a tone for next year...of course the saame thing could be said about our game with them on Christmas Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Friday at 08:20 PM Posted Friday at 08:20 PM Somebody better tell me who to root for in the Packer/Bears game so I can be disappointed. 😅😅 1 Quote

The could very likely have lost to the Rams and may still lose to the Panthers and/or 49ers. They weren’t going to lose all 3. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago One of the most memorable games in recent Lions history. Even have an appearance by Aaron Glenn. Quote

Only 15 yards rushing yesterday, only 46 yards rushing in the Green Bay game. The defense wasn't blameless. Over 200 rushing yards given up. 2 long 45 yard rushing TDs against us. An ESPN talking head today said take away those 2 long runs and the Steelers still averaged over 5 yards per rush. (I didn't check that stat so I dont know if it's true). But even given that, 15 yards rushing is totally unacceptable. Yes, the OL need attention but we were still in a position to win the game. Campbell kicks the 1st quarter FG instead of going for 4th down on the 3 or 4 yard line and we would have been in position to kick a game winning FG at the end of the game. This was a total team failure. Quote
