kdog Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM (edited) It's hot in Sacramento but give me one day game for my sleep schedule. They need Meadows back to stabilize the defense and energy. They can carry his bat even if it's still bad. I think some of the hitting chaos guys are probably running on fumes. IdahoBert Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Had the pleasure of helping a family of former Michiganders who had just moved to Idaho and still had Michigan license plates on their two vehicles parked one next to the other, one of which had the hood up with a dead battery, at one of our Trader Joe’s. The dad is an engineer, and Micron Technology here is going through a big hiring phase and he’s a new hire. I found it amusing that a person who can understand the ins and outs of memory and storage products, including DRAM, NAND flash, and SSDs didn’t know how to jump the battery in his minivan. But he had all this rarified technical knowledge - at least in my eyes - but not practical knowledge like that. It reminded me of another engineer I knew who was high up in the Micron hierarchy that I met here in 1988 who had a VHS tape player that always flashed the time 12:00 12:00 12:00… that he had apparently never figured out how to set. Those of you who are engineers or work with engineers might find this amusing or instructive in someway. I did 1 Quote
casimir Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago If the Tigers get swept, it’ll be a cute story about how West Sacramento took down the eventual World Series champions in an August series. Quote

IdahoBert Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I’m re-watching Sisu for the eighth or ninth time because killing Nazis is more pleasurable than losing to the Sacramento Athletics. Good luck to all… Quote

IdahoBert Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago We should probably consider ourselves lucky to get out of that bottom of the first and down by only one run. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Tork triple thanks to a misplay. Butler blew it on the basepaths last night and in the OF tonight. Quote
chasfh Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Even with that triple, Tork has among the fewest triples of any current big leaguer with over 2,000 plate appearances. Quote

lordstanley Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 3-0. Tigers starting pitchers can't do anything. Meanwhile the Jays, Red Sox, Yankees, Royals, Guardians, Astros and Mariners have all won already. Quote
