papalawrence Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Well the KC series better bring better Babip. That was my alliteration for the month 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I'm not really worried. This whole series featuring this minor league ballpark seemed unreal. That said, just 4 games up on Houston now with 27 still to go, so let's snap to it. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I really enjoy Bobby’s insights. His tales of being a ball player are very good. It’s not just reminiscences. He was having a hard time with high breaking pitches and one of his coaches said that a pitch like that was already a home run and that all he had to do was to “tap it.“ It was a description of the minute mechanics of a specific challenge that evoked a sensuous immediacy. He has a good voice and a good sense of presence too. Quote

Yeah. They all need some deep massages and chocolates with strawberries. Watch out KC! Edited August 28 by Klondike Quote

He hasn't seemed to have developed a smooth one yet - but that's the kind of thing that may improve with reps. Quote

I think his main problem was low volume and high speed when he first started. He's definitely fixed the volume problem, although he is still a fast talker. But he is definitely informative and a good communicator of his thoughts. He must be from a large family where he had to talk fast to say what he needed to before someone talked over him. That's pretty common. Or so I've heard ... 😏 1 Quote
