He was having a hard time with high breaking pitches and one of his coaches said that a pitch like that was already a home run and that all he had to do was to “tap it.“ It was a description of the minute mechanics of a specific challenge that evoked a sensuous immediacy. He has a good voice and a good sense of presence too. Quote
