Holy ****, a fourth ambulance chaser advertiser?? Someone called “Ven Johnson”?? Detroit’s economy obviously still sucks ass. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 19 Posted September 19 It's pretty rare for the Tigers to have 2 home grown players with 30 home runs in a season. I hope Carp gets hot and joins them. He has more home runs per at bat than both Greene and Tork, I think? Quote

Detroit’s economy obviously still sucks ass. There was one a few years ago who said "if you've been in an auto accident, even if it's your fault, you may be entitled to money." I saw that one at a time when my auto insurance bill was due. It really...ticked...me off. Quote

Hinch wasn’t one of the cheaters. He simply took the fall for it while the players who worked directly with the front office on it went scot free. 1 Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I'm gonna watch The Natural now. I kind of wish they'd remake that movie and make it closer to the book. It would be a MUCH more interesting movie. Roy Hobbs wasn't all that swell in the book. Quote
chasfh Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Jesus even when we get a lead off runner on, Braves get a tailor-made DP on the next pitch on a hit up the middle. Then the third baseman makes a diving play on a sharply-hit ball headed for left field to get the third out. When that happens to you, you’re not going to win the game. Quote

Mankowski played some third base in the mid to late seventies in Detroit. He was there when Sparky came in. Phil is one of our neighbors. He’s a really nice guy and still likes to talk Tiger baseball. 2 Quote

I get what you’re saying, I wouldn’t want that one remade. The homerun scene at the end is one of the best in movie history. plus you know the remake would star Chris Pratt or Pedro Pascal or some other overrated actor. Quote
