Tigermojo Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I think that's the first time I cancelled Hobbes all season. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I never want to see Will Vest pitch for the Tigers again. Quote
chasfh Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) I’m calling it: If Montero gives up a grand slam here, the season’s over. EDIT: Well, that’s good, I guess. Edited September 20 by chasfh 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 20 Posted September 20 This walk off win is going to change our luck! Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Cleveland is up 6-0. 1.5 games But hey, we didn't need to make a serious move at the trade deadline. Quote

If we can’t ride an emotional comeback like we had today to a win—if we’re gonna end up blowing it in the ninth the way we did—then I don’t know how we can hold on and even go to the playoffs, let alone win the division. YMMV, but me, I am getting myself mentally prepared to miss the playoffs. I suspect they will have me hanging on by my fingernails next Sunday when it can still go either way all the way to the bitter end, but for my own mental health, I need to rip the band-aid off now. lordstanley Posted September 20 Posted September 20 The Tigers' only "hope" might be to somehow sweep the Guardians. Even winning 2 of 3 might not be enough. Quote
tiger2022 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 At least we won't have to watch them get their ass kicked in the playoffs. Quote

Yes, top of the 9th might have been peak tension for me. Now I'm almost resigned to it. Quote
