lordstanley Posted October 10 Posted October 10 This game isn’t going as planned 5-1 Habs after 2. Quote
buddha Posted October 10 Posted October 10 you wait all summer for the season to start and john gibson gives you this. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Tell me again why we wanted Gibson over Lyon. Also, Cossa must be lightyears away if he's far behind this performance from Gibson. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 10 Posted October 10 When does the Pistons season start? Bad game. Young teams are going to have these, lets hope they don't have them in a row. The defense in front of John Gibson was horrible, but I don't think it's unfair to say he should have stopped at least 2 of those. Better clean that up in a hurry. Cam should start Game 2. Quote

Jason_R Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Looks like the big culprits were the new defensive pairing, but Mac was calling someone out. Rasmussen was a -2 on the night, so were Soderblom, Kasper, and MBN, but they haven't been "doing it for years." Wonder what happens when Danielson gets healthy. Quote

Another signing that I imagine is going to be regretted/regrettable. Edited October 10 by gehringer_2 Quote

lordstanley Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I will try not to get down over one game, but with back to back games against the Leafs this weekend things are in danger of going south immediately. Quote

Wonder what happens when Danielson gets healthy. the idea that aljo had advanced to the point where he could anchor a pair was always fanciful thinking. edvinsson's back probably hurts from carrying him all season last year. this is why i was saying - hoping - thry could deal some of their forward depth for a defenseman. or why the buium injury hurt so bad just when he was playing well. how do you fit asp into this? he needs to be with a solid defensive defenseman and they have no one to take that role. its only one game. dont panic. but the early schedule is brutal. that was the one game on the early schedule they were likely favored to win. You can fix a lot in Game 2 by being awake. But if the Leafs score on something like 2 out of their first 3 or 4 shots on Gibson, we've lost cabin pressure. He has not looked good lately. I have to be honest -- I didn't understand all the hype about him coming to the Wings. Not saying I thought he was bad, or anything, I just didn't think he was all that great. Memories of Roagie. Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I don't think there is any need for he to flip back and forth between the Michigan game and the Red Wings game. I'll just stick with Michigan and hope they pull it together. Quote
lordstanley Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Great period has flipped the game! 3-2 Wings after 2. Almost added a 4th on a partial break in the dying seconds. It would be huge to get at least a point out of this game. 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Um, alright, I guess there is a need to watch the Michigan AND the Wings tonight. Quote
lordstanley Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) Raymond takes the lead back on the powerplay. Zippy passing. 4-3 Wings! Edited October 12 by lordstanley Quote
