Cossa to Edmonton rumors are starting to get very strong.

Kevin Weekes is reporting Utah has interest in Cossa, which delights me because of their farm system.

It seems like all the Cossa to Edmonton rumors have mostly been random twitter accounts parroting the same rumor, and yesterday one of them made up a podcast quote to make it seem like it was about to happen.  Glad an actual "insider" has some info finally.

I don't have interest in Yurov either, but either will work as filler here for me haha

 

Wonder if anyone bites on Gustavsson for the Wild to give them some cap space because right now they have very little cap and a lot of roster holes to fill.  He does have a NMC, is coming off an injury and has a long contract.  Wallstedt would be their best trade chip as far as value coming back but something has to be done with their cap situation.  At least they signed 31 year old McCarron to a six year deal, any time you can lock up a 15 point player through age 37 you just have to do it (and a nmc clause!).

I'd probably do this given the two 1st round picks + Stramel. But I don't know that Minnesota has their 1st this year, so we'd be getting a 27 and 28 1st. I'd rather get more capital for now and next eyar.

I do not want to see ADB traded. At least not in the off-season.This is a team that, despite having several empty jerseys, was in contention for a playoff spot until the very end. Some of those jerseys will be filled with better players next season. 

obviously, Larkin’s will not.as far as Larkin’s replacement goes, I am still holding out for an established an NHL center (or high-end young prospect) with a mix of prospects or draft picks. Run it back to the trade deadline next season and see how things look. If ADB does not want an extension at that point, trade him at the deadline. Trade Faulk too. but if you are Stevie, you have to see how much of the culture issue was related to Larkin.

Yzerman has oft repeated that his objective isn't just to make the playoffs, it's to build a team that can win a cup. So it comes down to whether he is now just going to settle for a team that can get into the playoffs, or has enough ownership support to do a deeper reset. If it's going to be the latter, you need to get what you can from 'Cat. If the former, he's going to be the main energy guy for your offense.

If I were the Blues, I’d be ticked at the Wings about this. Either Gave is mis-reporting, Gave’s source in the Wings is misunderstanding, or the Wings revealed info that now once out could damage the Blues’ relationship with a star player.
