lordstanley Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 Lots of 3rd period action. 5-3 Wings after Larkin converts from Raymond on a 2 on 0 rush. Quote
sagnam Posted November 14 Posted November 14 That 2-0 was wild. Both teams are playing sloppy late in the 3rd. Ducks especially. Quote

sagnam Posted November 14 Posted November 14 The tv broadcast pointed out 2 shots taken to the face. That or getting tripped at the end of the 2nd. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Larkin and Raymond on a 2 on 0 break...they better score!! 😅😅 Quote

Real loser stuff to put a goon out with the game over and the teams not seeing each other again this season. Maybe Coach Q didn’t notice who he put out there because he was looking the other way… 1 Quote

You almost wish as soon as he got on the ice, a wing had just taken his skates out from under him and sent him flying. AFAIAC, that's all guys like that should get in the NHL 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 17 games in and the Wings only have 3 players with more than 8 points. Kasper still with 3 assists only. Quote

Maybe Coach Q didn’t notice who he put out there because he was looking the other way… Joel Quenneville oughta know better than to do that kinda ****. He was a player in the league and has been a coach for far too long to not know that kind of crap is wrong for the sport. Even if Quenneville mistakenly didn't know whom he put on the ice, he needs to run his locker room better than that and get his players to fully buy into the fact that end of game goonery is unacceptable. I might be willing to give Quenneville the benefit of the doubt as a one off, but he can't allow that type of behavior to be habitual. Quote

I was making a joke reference to him turning a blind eye to his video coach sexually assaulting his players. I'm personally unwilling to give Q the benefit of any doubt, he's always been this way. 1 Quote

The first goal against the Wings was pathetic. Then powerplay chances late in the 2nd to go up 5-1 but instead were stopped and Buffalo got a late goal. Then the shorthanded goal midway through the 3rd. Then not converting on the powerplay late in regulation. I would love a guy like Tage Thompson on the Wings. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted November 16 Posted November 16 They are a one-line team. and you can even boil that down to one guy - Larkin. You neutralize him, you can beat the Wings. Years and years of rebuilding and drafting and you've got one reliable line. Quote

And the big hope at forward is now here and not really creating any discernible presence on the ice. Not to mention the other big add this season, ASP, spent the game being manhandled like a rag doll by the Sabres. Edited November 16 by gehringer_2 Quote
