You know this is likely what's happening. Our risk adverse GM has only made one major trade during his tenure and that was for DeBrincat. I see Hughes going somewhere besides Detroit. I hope we can land him though.

Kasper. But in his his 4th season post-draft (2022, #8 overall) and with 3G 1A in 30 games, I bet his value has dropped to a high 2nd rounder. Even Danielson (2023, #9 overall) is probably seen as a mid-1st rounder value now.

Kasper is actually rated higher by the 'trade value' calculators, which I found interesting..

I’ve had an emotional week, so nice to be able to veg annd watch Wings @ Flames on Sportsnet tonight. 2-0 Wings 5 minutes in.

It seems like the Wings always struggle in Calgary. But they've been playing really good recently.

The Wings didn’t have a shot the final 13 minutes of the period but still lead 2-0 after 1.

They must have iced the puck at least seven times and just can't get out of their own zone. It was one turnover after another. They need Hughes bad

OK...they just said the Wings have won 3 straight in Calgary but before that they lost 6 straight. Those are the ones I remember. 😒

yeah - watching the last 5 min of the 2nd you'd never know the wings were up by 4. They seem to just go into these deep low energy funks where is nothing but half-hearted effort to get back a puck. Very odd team even when they play well,
