Up until that last drive which included a circus catch, the Lions defense was good. They only gave up a 59 yard FG.

You can't tackle a player before he actually has the ball.

They don't need to be. The league office needs to buzz down and have him ejected. They buzzed down and told the officiating crew earlier in the season to throw a flag and overturn the Goff TD at the goal line. No reason the league office shouldn't have the authority to step in when a player jeopardizes the safety of fans and eject that player after reviewing it from New York.

He didn't complete the process of the catch until he was on the ground then was untouched after that.
