Oh boy, I hope not! I mean, where he left off wasn't a very good place... let's hope it's better than where he left off! 🙂

He was a key contributor to the 2024 team, and ironically one of its few healthy pieces by the end of the season. Played in all but two games, started 10 of them including the playoff game, and contributed well as a space eater.

Was his stat sheet what you hope to see out of a 2021 second round pick? No. But if he “picks up where he left off” in 2024, he’d definitely make the team and probably see a good deal of playing time rotating in for Tyleik and Alim. Maybe even occasionally for Wonnum/Moore.

Hey, if I want facts and logic I wouldn't be a sports fan!

Are you kidding me. We're already starting with the injuries again?

At least it’s a 5th round rookie who wasn’t expected to contribute, as opposed to the starters it usually is. Sure does feel like this happens every May or June though.

Feel bad for Law. A torn ACL before training camp of your rookie season can be a career death sentence for a 5th round pick.

I read that the Lions signed Tarik Black. There's a name I haven't heard in a long time. And yes, it is the same Tarik Black from Michigan.

Sounds like his buddies rolled on him.

Yep, they are cooperating with authorities it sounds like. His career down the drain for a jewelry and some cash he could have possibly gotten back with help from the police.

A case based solely upon the word of now-convicted felons who knew all along that TA was the big fish NFL player is not a slam dunk case by any stretch of the imagination. TA will have the best lawyers money can buy, who will tear those felon-witnesses to shreds on the stand. These are crooked cases from the jump when people with dirty hands throw others under the bus to save their own ass. A lot of them are telling the truth, but plenty will say what they think wants to be heard to save themselves a few years prison time.

Will a jury of his peers convict him? Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know. Cell phone records would ostensibly paint a picture of some sort here aside from the testimony.

But we are at least a year away from a trial. If all they have is testimony of co-conspirators, he'll almost certainly be granted bond pending trial. And if he is, I bet he plays this season for the Detroit Lions.
