Also... everyone here might believe Manu is hot garbage... But DC and Holmes may think otherwise.

I have no idea what they think about him...

I'm just sayin'.

They can love him all they want, but he is what he is. I don’t think he’s going to magically turn into a player just because they guys who drafted him still want to believe.

End of the work day and catching up on the Lions news.  OL doesn't look as worrying as it did just yesterday.  Figured i'd take that news and go play with a mock draft, with some trades I got:

25 - Emmanual McNeil-Warren - S

50 - Blake Miller - OT

57 - Gabe Jacas - Edge

63 - Keionte Scott - CB

115 - Michael Washington Jr. - RB

157 - Sam Roush - TE

205 - Cole Payton - QB

213  - Reggie Virgil - WR

Picked up New England's 2027 3rd round pick too.  I would be happy with it, but I also don't truly understand how players from one scheme match up / play in another scheme, so who knows.  Figured I'd post it so I can come back after the draft and see if I got at least close on one of my picks.

I'm hoping they aren't done yet on the OL. Borom is good depth and can play any position on the line (except maybe center). But I don't like the idea of going into the draft pigeon-holed into taking a tackle in the first round. That's how you end up taking 2nd round talents at 17.

I feel like they have enough pieces on the OL that they aren't forced to take a tackle in the first round, especially if Sewell flips to LT. But everything I've seen about the draft this year indicates that there is good depth at OT in the first round. Assuming that they do pick an OT at 17, I don't get the sense that they will be over-drafting.

If the Niners have to trade Trent Williams, I wonder what he will fetch, knowing the recipient has to pay him.

6th or 7th round pick.

These contracts are always overstated. Still big money, but the cap is always going to go up. The entire business model depends on it.

The Jalaen Phillips and Jordan Davis contracts are terrible regardless of cap inflation. 4 years $120m for Phillips is absolutely insane, I almost couldn't believe that when I saw it. I haven't even touched on the Pearce contract being nearly $30m/yr for a guy with a career high of 47 catches although he is a good player.
