Playing stupid...sitting on a 3-1 lead didn't work. Against a team like Vegas....keep the pedal to the metal. Don't go into a shell. Late in the 3rd period, the Wings had one shot on goal. One shot in the period...sorry. but they earned and deserved that loss.

weird game - the Wing had a long 5 on 5 cycle in the Vegas zone in the 2nd, and once that was over the game shifted to Vegas the whole rest of the way.

I saw Ras make exactly one useful play in his ice time tonight. I also saw guys repeatedly skating around him as he waved at them going by on rushes.

I'd love to hear McLellan or Yzerman tell us what it is he's doing that we apparently aren't seeing that forms the reason he's getting regular ice time. He has maybe one game every two weeks where he actually looks like an NHL player.

mbn is tearing up the ahl and rasmussen is still playing.  or SHINE is here.  what did he do yesterday other than look menacing?

ras should be in the skybox every night.  mbn should be here in his place.

did compher play yesterday?  i dont remember seeing him once.

and if this team is going to win, seider has to be better than that.  edvinsson too.  they have to play like the best pair in the league they were two months ago.  seider gave up the gane tying goal all by himself (even is ras put him in a ****ty position).

Compher is a RHC with playoff experience...If we can get a Trocheck or a Thomas...I think Ol JT might fetch something nice in a trade.

Ras has a cheap contract...he might be moveable too.

Alex Tuch is a UFA...he'd be  a nice FA signing if Buffalo can't extend him.  Doubt Buffalo would want to move him to us

Gibson looked good in practice apparently, plus he had to go back down before the trade deadline to be eligible for the AHL playoffs.  I expect Shine to go down soon too.

what does perron do?  who does he replace?  ras?

He did step up when Larkin got KO'd on a cross check a couple of years ago.   Got suspended and he hit the wrong guy...but...he stepped up

There’s nothing wrong with acquiring Perron.  It’s actually a good move but it can’t be the only move.

Wait, Perron is hurt and hasn't played since January 20th?

So conditions of the trade are nothing back if he doesn't play this season, a 4th if he plays at least one game and a 3rd if the Wings win the 1st round of the playoffs and Perron plays in 50% of the 1st round games.

It's a very late years David Legwand type of move to me. At least in this one we didn't give up a prospect I care about. When Kenny trade Calle Jarnkrok for Legwand I was so pissed.
