Sports_Freak Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Playing stupid...sitting on a 3-1 lead didn't work. Against a team like Vegas....keep the pedal to the metal. Don't go into a shell. Late in the 3rd period, the Wings had one shot on goal. One shot in the period...sorry. but they earned and deserved that loss. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted March 5 Posted March 5 The lead was weak? The f'ing lead was weak? YOU'RE weak . These are the new leads. The March game leads. And to you they're gold, only you don't get them. They're for closers. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 weird game - the Wing had a long 5 on 5 cycle in the Vegas zone in the 2nd, and once that was over the game shifted to Vegas the whole rest of the way. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted March 5 Posted March 5 It's March and the Wings collapsed and blew it. Ugh, here we go again. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I don't like Kane out there without Debrincat - he's seems to be a non-factor without his alter-ego. Quote

I also saw guys repeatedly skating around him as he waved at them going by on rushes. I'd love to hear McLellan or Yzerman tell us what it is he's doing that we apparently aren't seeing that forms the reason he's getting regular ice time. He has maybe one game every two weeks where he actually looks like an NHL player. Quote

Quote
Shinzaki Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Compher is a RHC with playoff experience...If we can get a Trocheck or a Thomas...I think Ol JT might fetch something nice in a trade. Ras has a cheap contract...he might be moveable too. Alex Tuch is a UFA...he'd be a nice FA signing if Buffalo can't extend him. Doubt Buffalo would want to move him to us Edited March 5 by Shinzaki Quote
slothfacekilla Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Gibson looked good in practice apparently, plus he had to go back down before the trade deadline to be eligible for the AHL playoffs. I expect Shine to go down soon too. Quote

Shinzaki Posted March 6 Posted March 6 He did step up when Larkin got KO'd on a cross check a couple of years ago. Got suspended and he hit the wrong guy...but...he stepped up Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Does give them another RH shot. Don't how much one can expect from a 37yr old journeyman though 17 1/2 hours of hope left, dwindling fast. Edited March 6 by gehringer_2 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Did I miss a news report about Ken Holland coming back as GM? Quote

lordstanley Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 (edited) Wait, Perron is hurt and hasn't played since January 20th? So conditions of the trade are nothing back if he doesn't play this season, a 4th if he plays at least one game and a 3rd if the Wings win the 1st round of the playoffs and Perron plays in 50% of the 1st round games. https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/3792/david-perron " Perron likely would have been squeezed out of the lineup once he recovers from groin surgery, so the Senators were able to find a deal for him. The 37-year-old is six weeks into a 5-7 week recovery timeline, so he could be available fairly soon" Edited March 6 by lordstanley Quote

It's a very late years David Legwand type of move to me. At least in this one we didn't give up a prospect I care about. When Kenny trade Calle Jarnkrok for Legwand I was so pissed. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Perron is simply a vibes acquisition for free if he doesn't even play a game. I know the guys in the room love him. If he does get healthy enough to play then at least it isn't a Shine or hopefully Rasmussen in the lineup. Quote
