You see who's pitching for them against the US? Our old friend Eduardo (sp?) Rodriguez. They have a good lineup but somewhat suspect starting pitching.

No one is as deep as the US. But as we have seen, any team can beat any other team on any given day.  Even the Rockies beat the Dodgers twice last year.

Terrible roster construction only having 4 OF.  Completely limited the ability to make late moves.   Cal Raleigh not playing at all was also head scratching.

Congratulations to the Venezuelan team beating the USA in the WBC. I wish Torres had performed better. He struck out in all three of his at bats.

I have two friends from Venezuela and Ven winning the WBC meant a lot more to them than any US fan if the US won. I was rooting for the US and was hoping for a great game. I got half of what I wanted and ultimately I  am happy for my friends. As a baseball fan and a fan of sports stories, I was very satisfied.
