He's hitting as well as Jones , but much better defensively at a position where a late inning replacement is needed. I know they're not worried about Short being claimed, but I don't think they had to worry about Jones either -if he was, no great loss. Jones apparently has pix. Quote

chasfh Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Lot of people here wanted Jack Flaherty off the mound. They’ll have their wish, for a little while anyway. Quote

romad1 Posted June 15 Posted June 15 August-October 2024 Parker Meadows would be a lovely addition to this team. Quote

I'm not alone in thinking Scott Harris flushed this season down the toilet. Back to being sellers at the deadline with a bloated payroll. We couldn't add any talent even if he were able to swing any trades. 😆 Quote

Tiger337 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 This has probably already been posted somewhere, but the injuries are getting more and more absurd: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2026/06/17/wenceel-perez-detroit-tigers-outfielder-injured-in-postgame-training-room-accident/90591810007/?taid=6a33224f117eb200019d16a2&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Quote The switch-hitting outfielder had a freak accident in the training room after the 4-2 loss to the Astros on Tuesday night. During his regular postgame workout routine, he was struck under the left eye by a plyo band that snapped off its hook. "He is going through a battery of tests to check out his face, his eye," manager AJ Hinch said. "He wasn't here today, getting tests to make sure everything is OK. I'm pretty concerned about him." During the pandemic, the only way I could do resistance training was with bands, and the only way I could anchor them was wedging them between the door. I was doing a row of some kind. It didn't anchor all the way, and got me on the forehead right by my eyebrow. Quote

I've had some close calls wrapping them around my Tiger Stadium seats, but one would think that in a state of the art MLB training room, they would be anchored properly. Quote

Bat hit one of those bands and hit himself in the face. Quote
