He’s leading off too

That is really amazing that he is leading off. It says a lot about not only his hitting skill but also his composure and ability to focus. I also like that it gets whatever nerves he might have out of the way immediately...he doesn't have an inning to anticipate his first at bat.

I have previous commitments so I’ll miss most of this game. Don’t all cry at once. I’m sure many of you will miss my insightful one word posts such as “Wow.” But I’m not Harry Potter. I can’t be in two places at once. Have a great game.

Classic L/R alternation.

Thats what I get for reading the Free Press. A LH SP for St. Louis? No, he's RH. This lineup had me confused at first because I remember reading this today;

Carpenter brings his .091 average to the spot in the order that is reserved for the best hitter on the team.............

Maybe he'll run into one today.

I don't think many MLB managers reserve the #3 spot for the best hitter on the team anymore.

Sigh.........................  I should've added the word usually I guess.   How about usually reserved for the hottest hitter on the team?

BTW, I do hope that Carp runs into one today.  He is due.
