IdahoBert Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Another 100 pitch plus starter from the twins. Do they know something the rest of us don’t or are they just flying by the seat of their pants? Quote
IdahoBert Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The wheels on the bus may be coming off of Flaherty start today after allowing two hits in a row. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Tigers get good pitching? Yeah, sorry, no offense. Baserunners but 0 runs. Quote
holygoat Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago What if they call up Max Clark, not to replace Parker Meadows, but Riley Greene? Quote

Everytime he gives up baserunners, I wonder if this is the inning he implodes. Hinch did a good job pulling him today. Quote

kdog Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It was always possible that running most of the same offense back might not lead to improvement. Quote

Fun fact: Tigers are a top ten offense in terms of wRC+ and wOBA, and top half in runs scored, right about where they were last year. Their pitching, however, is 22nd in strikeouts, 23rd in walks yielded, 18th in FIP, 22nd in ERA. Quote

Run prevention has been the bigger problem, both pitching and some of their defense. Edited 1 hour ago by gehringer_2 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago So we’re tied, but on a sac fly nothing to write home about. I wonder if this team was figured out by “baseball” because they’re picking up where they left off in the regular season last year, regardless of showing some sparks in the playoffs. Or I wonder if it’s just baseball Quote
Hongbit Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It’s truly amazing they employ 3 guys as hitting coaches yet they miss so many middle, middle mistake fastballs. It happened all last year too. Quote
IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Got out of the inning at least. Right now I’m just hoping for a skin of your teeth, white knuckled, hold my beer Martha, one run victory. I’d take anything that results in a W. Quote

Tork esp takes a lot of good strike ones. Edited 1 hour ago by gehringer_2 Quote
NorthWoods Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Jeezus that happens enough with Tigers OFers. You would think they learn to yell. Quote
