That looks more like giving Torres a day off and trying to use the switch-hitterness of Wenceel... plus... he hit decently last year (.748 OPS, not horrible)... than trying to enforce a "Wenceel must bat second" philosophy... IMO. I think when Wenceel plays and Torres plays that it's Torres always in the top-3 with Keith and Kevin... Only when Torres gets that day off and Wenceel is playing will we see this... and I get what Hinch is trying here... But we'll see how Hinch uses him over the next couple of months... Quote
IdahoBert Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago That strike three on Matty just now was clearly a ball. So I’m out walking today and not paying real close attention. Have we used up all of our challenges already? Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Jeezzzz...dont get Dan Petry talking about pitch calling coming from the dugout. It totally triggers him and he just goes on and on....it's like...shut up already. 😆 Quote

chasfh Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Jeimer Candelario has been DFA'ed by the Angels. Any interest? 😝 Quote
chasfh Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Man, what a gutsy final at bat by Anderson to close it out—14 pitches before a 3U. Quote
chasfh Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I hope we can look back in October at Thursday's loss that dropped us to 4-9 as the low point of our season and have a chuckle about it as we watch the Tigers cruise to yet another playoff win. Quote

IdahoBert Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I followed this game on my phone today walking 3.2 miles at the Idaho Botanical Garden and was so tired when I got home I had to crash for an hour and a half, and while I was lights totally out asleep, I dreamed that Jeff Bridges as The Dude from The Big Lebowski was walking around in his bathrobe at Comerica Park talking about “how ****ing great Kevin McGonigal is!“ Quote

Biff Mayhem Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I was at this game. Second row right by 1st base. Witnessed a couple of drunk douchebags over-heckle Norby with a bunch of profanity (within close earshot of a bunch of kids). They were asked to stop by security and they were keeping a close eye on them. The whole section was going to cheer if they got booted. All in all, despite these DBs proving the “instant a-hole, just add alcohol” saying, it was a nice win on a beautiful day and it was a Bert VI. 1 Quote
