That looks more like giving Torres a day off and trying to use the switch-hitterness of Wenceel... plus... he hit decently last year (.748 OPS, not horrible)... than trying to enforce a "Wenceel must bat second" philosophy... IMO. I think when Wenceel plays and Torres plays that it's Torres always in the top-3 with Keith and Kevin... Only when Torres gets that day off and Wenceel is playing will we see this... and I get what Hinch is trying here... But we'll see how Hinch uses him over the next couple of months... Quote
IdahoBert Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago That strike three on Matty just now was clearly a ball. So I’m out walking today and not paying real close attention. Have we used up all of our challenges already? Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Jeezzzz...dont get Dan Petry talking about pitch calling coming from the dugout. It totally triggers him and he just goes on and on....it's like...shut up already. 😆 Quote

chasfh Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Jeimer Candelario has been DFA'ed by the Angels. Any interest? 😝 Quote
Tigermojo Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago May I have a half dozen runs a la Bert please? Quote
chasfh Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Man, what a gutsy final at bat by Anderson to close it out—14 pitches before a 3U. Quote
chasfh Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I hope we can look back in October at Thursday's loss that dropped us to 4-9 as the low point of our season and have a chuckle about it as we watch the Tigers cruise to yet another playoff win. Quote

IdahoBert Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I followed this game on my phone today walking 3.2 miles at the Idaho Botanical Garden and was so tired when I got home I had to crash for an hour and a half, and while I was lights totally out asleep, I dreamed that Jeff Bridges as The Dude from The Big Lebowski was walking around in his bathrobe at Comerica Park talking about “how ****ing great Kevin McGonigal is!“ 1 Quote

Biff Mayhem Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I was at this game. Second row right by 1st base. Witnessed a couple of drunk douchebags over-heckle Norby with a bunch of profanity (within close earshot of a bunch of kids). They were asked to stop by security and they were keeping a close eye on them. The whole section was going to cheer if they got booted. All in all, despite these DBs proving the “instant a-hole, just add alcohol” saying, it was a nice win on a beautiful day and it was a Bert VI. 3 Quote

oblong Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I should clarify that I have two life goals. One to be able to go in long walks, or maybe still runs, to them take a nap. Then since I will probably still be living here to then go to the game in my robe and hype up the latest prospect and nobody bother me. Just me and my White Russian and rug. Quote
