IdahoBert Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Winning this game would be a very big deal. I’m sure Kevin McGonigle will play tomorrow. So that’s a plus. Of course, splitting a series on the road is ultimately very desirable, but right now it’s kind of like getting the girl you can have instead of the one you really want. I would really like Miss Wright instead of Miss Goode Enough tomorrow. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Sonny Gray, huh? We need to make him cry again. 😊 Quote
GalagaGuy Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago What's the point of starting the game at 11am? The marathon is going to interfere with any day game so why not just have the game at the normal 1pm start? Quote

I thought the pizza one was a real expression of possible punk rock-itude by Torkelson (the purported originator of that one) but my gut tells me he was not being in any way subversive with that and that makes me sad. I think asking someone like that to have an artists imagination is going to lead to pain. I think I would imagine Ian Kinsler who was in the bat business with Jack White might have been like that. Maybe JV who is married to a woman who is sort of plugged into the art world (as much as a bikini model might be). Quote

I had never heard of the Jack White Ian Kinsler business relationship and looked it up. That is pretty cool. Quote

The idea is fans can leave the game and about a mile away to see people finish. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Lee probably won't play (at least start) today against a RH SP but that play he made yesterday was very impressive. He showed major league arm strength. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago don't really like Keith at 1st but that's relatively minor nit to pick. Not so bad if Javy isn't at short as he's likely to make the toughest throws for his 1B. Quote

Also, the race used to start later, so the early game is probably an artifact of that. Edited 2 hours ago by Tiger337 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Watching the Red Sox pregame show. And reminded of the terse and defiant remarks of Big Papi about the bombings at the Marathon finish line a few days earlier 13 years ago today. 1 Quote
