I never expected much if anything from him anyway. I was more concerned than anything else that he would cost us games. Jansen concerns me if he has big trouble getting past this. Quote

IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Flying out to Buxton seems to be a thing. Does he have a big magnet in his glove or something? Quote

chasfh Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago OK, two observations on broadcasts: Thank god for radio overlay. I have no interest in non-baseball people being interviewed in the booth for multiple innings on end. I'm sure I am the only person who cares about this, but I am glad I have Extra Innings on DirecTV and not just MLB.tv, because the commercial situation on MLB.tv is just horrific. A limited number of advertisers running the same single spot over and over again. I mean, I feel bad for the Jewish kid getting bullied in the school hallway, but I don't really need to see that 18 times a game, do I? And if it's not that spot, it's the same ESPN spot, or Empire carpet or Cologuard spot, also 18 times a game. At least on Extra Innings you get the commercials that are local to the RSN, which is less not charming enough that at least I'm not swearing as I'm reaching for the mute. Quote

Sometimes they show cool baseball highlights. Walk off home runs, great catches and some bloopers. The commercials? I pretty much ignore them. And you forgot to mention the lawyer commercials 😄😄 Quote
IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wow, we are so assured of winning this game now that they should bring Jones in just to show the Twinkies how confident we are. 1 Quote
