IdahoBert Posted June 28 Posted June 28 At least Torkelson got a meaningless home run, which he is wont to do in circumstances such as this… Quote

tiger2022 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Can the Tigers hire Chatgtp or Google Gemini to manage the team. Wouldn't make much difference in the decisions that are made. Quote

Because he cant play 2nd base, 3rd base, 1st base, catcher, pitcher, left field and shortstop. Hinch only plays utility players all over the field. Thats why our defense is so horrible. Quote

tiger2022 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I don't think Jansen is going to win the relief pitcher of the year award this season. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Does anyone think that Tork would have hit that HR if Jansen only gave up one run? It would have been a strikeout. Quote
Yooperman Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Harris and Hinch both need to go as well as many other current Tigers except Dingler and Kevin Mc., and use the money to resign Mize, keep Montero. All others are to inconsistent and creating a bottle neck in minors. Then while cleaning house, clen out the TV broadcast and let Jason do his low-end play by play and stop defining broadcast deviancy downward. Quote

So our wunderkind GM manages the minors like Svengali but FAs and trade acquisitions like a noob. What's an owner to do? And our manager's supply of 2024/2025 pixie dust seems to be exhausted and his bullpen is making his every move a lose-lose proposition. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Great starting pitching and disastrous bullpens seems to be a Detroit thing. Who knew Harris was really part Dombrowski clone? 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 The thing is, as team, they aren't really in bad shape even after the loss of Skubal, and if they do get at least one starting bat out of Skubal they shouldn't be in bad shape next season - if there is one. But they have really bungled a couple of things they need to fix. They came into this season needed 3b and BP help and this off-season was pretty much a disaster in terms of the BP, and they have bungled Colt Keith. Give him a position and play him or trade him, but they are driving his value to zero as surely as if he was the kid that stole Harris' lunch money in 3rd grade. Quote
