It’s a real shame that Chicago can’t handle their weather any better than some countries can handle forest fires. Plus everyone at that stadium is in danger of stray gunfire. Quote

That oblique gets a lot of stress on it when a player swings hard. This may be a chronic problem for him.. He has to swing a bat when he plays second base too. Right now, I think they are just going to get the most out of him and hope he doesn't get hurt. I'm pretty sure he won't be back next year. Edited July 21 by Tiger337 Quote

After the Tigers won the World Series in ‘68 baseball had pretty much done as much for me as it was able to do. And after I moved out of the Detroit viewing and listening area - like 2000 miles away - it took a long time for me to come back home. Thanks to the Internet… A great memory I have of Ernie, among millions of them, was one of the times I came home and turned on the radio to get the Tiger score. Apparently, Lou Whitaker was up and right when I turned on the radio. Ernie said "Two two to Lou." Say it quick... 😅😅 Quote

This sort of sounds like a deal where you play and it gives out again or it doesn't and there's not much he do about that except maybe go to right field a lot. Tigs just need to keep Lee ready. monkeytargets39 Posted July 21 Posted July 21 If we trade Flaherty at the deadline, do we then say “New Jack City”? Quote

Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Gleyber singles on the first pitch and hopefully didn't re-injure his oblique. Quote

Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted July 21 Posted July 21 at least Tork's groundout was sorta hard-hit. Carp just can't get anywhere near solid contact. Quote
