Direct TV is always a total adventure with the feed from MLB. I just opened the guide and went to the game - the "live" broadcast was two innings behind what I just saw on gameday - Framber was still pitching! So I opened the link for the recording that was running and ran the slider up all the way, and it was right on real time. Go figure.....

This kind of stuff happens pretty regularly. They seem to have trouble with the live broadcasts for day games. A couple of times it appeared in the tv guide as a night game - which is when they ran it - supposedly as live. Just weird.

Or lack of concentration warming up. Maybe they need new BP catchers -

There are no catchers during BP. When the batter swings and misses they just let the ball go to the back of the cage and do pickup after.

Wow, Gleyber was not running very fast down to first base. I wonder if he’s having trouble running

He is aging really poorly.

my bad - didn't nail the ambiguity. I meant bullpen catchers - maybe add a little focus to the warmups.

LOL - but it's not the connection - the fibre is pretty flawless, it's something with the hand offs from MLB to DTV. They were really late getting to the party with MLB, I think they even missed the 1st couple of games. Then no announcement or billing statement- the games just started showing up on a channel that doesn't even have a name in the guide - like the whole thing was completely ad hoc.
