Biggest thing is Carp just needs to be healthy.  Take the rest of this season off, heal up completely, and start doing a lot more agility and stretching exercises.

Then when he’s back, he needs to stop swinging out of his shoes at everything and get back to being a competent hitter.

I am not sure that Hope starts the year with the Tigers next season. I see him getting the Max treatment and playing in Toledo all year unless he makes it extremely obvious he can play almost everyday like McGonigle did but in RF. Carp among others are still under cheaper contracts for next year so I think they will go that direction to start.

I am intrigued by Hope sometime next year, but more interested in Briceño. I’m legit think he is better than Tork today. Any chance he comes up this year? Or to start next year?

Of all of Scottie’s moves, rolling out the corpse of Trey Sweeney instead of McGonigle late last year is the most indefensible. Slightly ahead of Outman over Clark this year.

I’d like him back at some point. Can be clutch

I don’t think Briceno has seen enough high quality spin yet and between his missed time and still learning 1B defensively I would assume most of the year next year would be in the minors.

Rafael Devers homers (24) on a fly ball to center field. Jung Hoo Lee scores

A temporary setback...Just a hiccup in time. Tigers win 2 out of 3 to finish a 9 game road trip at 7-2. Remarkable.
