IdahoBert Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I forgot this game was an afternoon game. I’ll have to hurry home. Although it’s really pleasant at the Botanical Garden I frequent on a daily basis. At least I’ll be able to listen to Dan in the car on the radio. 3 Quote

Block a prospect? Because he's not helping the 2026 Tigers? Look who's playing outfield today and say we can't use a plus defender who can actually....hit? Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Zone is already huge for Messick and tiny for Montero Quote

Sports_Freak Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Tork sliding into 1st base...headfirst...he wanted that base! 😆 Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Just got home to discover that no matter what I do the radio and the TV are completely out of sync. Heck, pshaw, H-E-double hockey stick! First world problems is my daughters would put it… Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I love it when our guys get hit by a pitch and don’t really get hit by a pitch. Quote

He has been brutal overall in the OF this year - he's the one that missed the catch and turned into a homer. All he's been good at this year is hitting LH pitching. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Well heck, only one run with the bases loaded no outs, but at least our guys took their cuts. They weren’t sitting there watching strikes be called in the end. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Bases loaded and no outs and we only score 1 run. I hope that doesn't come back to bite us. Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I know there are a lot of fascinating people doing good things in the crowd and I guess they deserve some FaceTime on a broadcast, but I can’t say that I really enjoy the interruptions. It’s a part of the necessary PR function of a TV broadcast and that’s the way it is. I also know that there’s a segment of the viewing audience that finds baseball boring and we have to make it interesting for them as well. I really hate players miked up in the field and I’m glad that Detroit Sportsnet doesn’t do that. Sigh… I guess I’m a dinosaur lamenting the asteroid… Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Cinci just went up 8-4 over the WSux, this after some headhunting by the Sux pitcher Martin. Quote
